‘’The musical tradition of the universal Church is a treasure of inestimable value; and liturgical worship is given a more noble form when the divine offices are celebrated solemnly in song.’’ Sacrocanctum Concilium
The Music Ministry of St John the Apostle embraces our Catholic tradition by bringing forward the importance of the Church’s Sacred Music. The reverence of the Mass is enhanced through humble, beautiful adoration of our Lord.
Our mission is to teach the Liturgy through music, so that future generations will be encouraged to continue making the Mass beautiful. The Music Ministry is currently blessed with four groups: Saturday 5.30pm, Sunday 8am, 10am and 5.30pm.
New singers and musicians are always welcome. If you or someone you know is interested in joining and would like more information, please email Helene Fischer at helenesf0303@gmail.com
‘’When music at Mass is properly ordered to “lifting up of the mind and heart to God” and endowed to encourage “full, conscious and active participation”, something truly beautiful happens to our worship at Mass: we become more open and more disposed to worship Christ the way we were created to.’’ Taylor Tripodi
